The crazy house (monster house), or also known as Hang Nga Villa, is the only tourist attraction in Vietnam ranking on the top 10 most world’s exotic places voted by Chinese Daily News. It is always chosen by travelers from all over the world when they visit Dalat City due to its bizarre and unique architecture. The crazy house is “crazy” as its name and can be considered as one of a kind. Below is information which Tam Trinh Coffee has collected about this well-known place.
1. The Crazy House Dalat History & Architect
The architect of the Crazy House is Mrs. Dang Viet Nga. She is the daughter of Mr.Truong Chinh – the former Secretary General of Vietnam Communist Party. After graduating from the Moscow University of Architecture, she continued to study and received a PhD in the Soviet Union. In 1983, Ms. Dang Viet Nga decided to leave Hanoi to live in Da Lat and made a plan for building this pioneering, distinctive architecture. The Crazy House Dalat was officially launched in 1990 and welcomed the first customer.
At the end of the twentieth century, nature was overexploited to serve human life and today we have to suffer severe consequences due to those mistakes. Aiming to divert people to protect nature and the environment, architecture of Hang Nga villa simulates the image of ancient trees in an old forest, devastated. And inside the rough, bare trees are bizarrely designed rooms for guests, evoking the image of nature always close to and present in people’s lives.
